Aston Martin to open factory in Wales creating 750 jobs
Aston Martin is to create more than 750 jobs in Wales by opening a new factory.
The James Bond car maker will build a new plant in St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan from 2020.
The plant will be Aston Martin's second factory and will create an estimated 1,000 jobs in the wider supply chain and local businesses.
The firm is famous for the flashy cars driven by 007, and actor Daniel Craig who plays the spy drove an Aston DB10 in the latest Bond movie Spectre.
Welsh Economy Minister Edwina Hart said the plant, which will be making the DBX model, would mean cars rolling off a production line in Wales for the first time in almost 50 years.
