Marjorie Tyrie thought she was calling Lotto to confirm a £1,000 win - but was left in a bit of a shock as she found out she had gotten her zeros confused.

Calling the phone-line, Marjorie Tyrie said: "Oh hello, I've got an email saying I've won, I think it's £1,000 or something..."

Raj on the other end of the line informed her "it looks like you are the winner of a million pounds!"

This is what it sounds like to learn you're a millionaire.

Her surprise quickly turned to disbelief and then delight as she said: "I'm shaking now, I thought it was just £1,000, I'm getting my zeros mixed up."

"That means I'm a millionaire!" she added, laughing.

It didn't look like 2016 was going Marjorie and Alan Tyrie's way, as Alan was made redundant at the start of the year.

He now plans on getting his handicap down on the golfcourse.

Alan said when Marjorie told him about the win he "thought she was on drugs".

"Because I just didn't believe it" he said, adding, "I still don't believe it.

The couple said they were "just ordinary working people" who have just won a million pounds.
