Former President George W Bush joins brother Jeb's presidential campaign
Former US President George W Bush returned to the presidential campaign trail on Monday - but this time instead of rallying votes for himself he was urging voters to support his "big little brother" Jeb.
The elder Bush brother, who left the White House seven years ago, appeared at a rally for his sibling in North Charleston, South Carolina where he promised the crowds Jeb would be a "great President".
George W Bush's rare public political appearance came as Republican candidate Jeb continued to flag behind other party Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz after coming in sixth in the Iowa polls and fourth in New Hampshire.
Taking to the stage in the hopes of boosting his brother's campaign the two term President sung Jeb's praises and even offered his advice to voters as to what attributes he believed a good leader for the US would need.
What does the former holder of the post think makes a good President?
someone who has had executive experience
someone who knows how to run a large complex organisation
someone who can lead people and make sound crisp decisions
President Bush also appeared to hit out at Trump, who had recently launched a series of attacks on his own presidency, including the decision to go to war in Iraq.
"There's been a lot of name calling going," he said. "But I'm gonna remind you what our good dad [former president George H W Bush] told me one time: 'Labels are for soup cans'".
