Adele defends 'pitchy' Grammys performance

Adele has defended her live performance at the Grammys after the audience said it was "out of tune".

Adele sang All I Ask at the Grammys Monday night but viewers criticised the performance saying it had "technical glitching" and was "pitchy".

Adele defended her performance, writing on Twitter after the show: "The piano mics fell onto the piano strings. It made it sound out of tune."

Recording Academy President Neil Portnow adds that when the show switched to a backup sound system during the song that also caused the audio to drop for several seconds.
