Fifty car pile-up shuts down highway
At least 10 people have been injured after more than 50 cars were involved in a pile-up on a busy highway in Pennsylvania.
The accident, which shut down Interstate 78 in Lebanon County, came as the state battled strong winds and poor visibility as a brutal polar vortex sent temperatures plummeting.
A spokeswoman at Penn State Hershey Medical Center told NBC that 10 adult patients had been admitted, three with critical injuries.
According to other local reports the crash was reportedly fatal but the number of victims had not been confirmed.
