A rare albino green turtle has been spotted by conservationists as it emerged from a nest on Castaways Beach in Queensland, Australia.

The hatchling, named Alby, was one of 122 babies to come out of the nest but he was the only one with an almost translucent shell and red eyes.

Experts at the Coolum District Coast Care Club said it was the first time they had seen an albino turtle in nine years of monitoring the animals.
