Listen to Wogan wrap up his last breakfast show

Terry Wogan gave an emotional speech when he wrapped up his final breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 in 2009.

He returned to BBC Radio 2 to present the breakfast show in January 1993.

He had previously hosted the show between 1972 and 1984 before leaving to pursue a full-time career in TV.

Wrapping up his final breakfast show in 2009, Wogan said: "I am not going to pretend that this is not a sad day - you can probably hear it in my voice. I am going to miss the laughter and the fun of our mornings together."
