Mostly children die as migrant boat sinks off Greek island
At least 24 people - mostly children - have drowned after a migrant boat capsized off the Greek island of Samos, the Greek coastguard has told ITV News.
The bodies of 10 children have been recovered by coastguard officials while fears that the death toll could rise even further continue to grow.
Another 10 people have been rescued with efforts to find more survivors still ongoing.
The bodies of the victims were taken to a local morgue after arriving back at a port, ITV News' Lutfi Abu Aun, who is at the scene, said.
The incident comes just hours after another boat sank off the island of Kos on Wednesday, leaving seven dead - including two children.
The twin tragedies also comes as Britain announces plans to resettle extra child refugees who have become separated from their families in Syria and other conflict zones.
