Filmmakers snowboard and ski through New York amid storm

Filmmakers have taken advantage of the snowstorm that has hit the US to snowboard and ski through central New York.

YouTube video producers Casey Neistat and Jesse Wellens have shown off their skills on Manhattan's near-empty streets, including right through Times Square.

Towed by a 4x4, they used several cameras to capture the unique trip.

The video, set to Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York", has already been viewed more than 1.5 million times on YouTube.

At the end of the video, the filmmakers are pulled over by a police car.

"Someone complained about you, so we're going to act like we're talking to you," an unidentified officer can be heard telling them.

The storm dumped more than 26 inches of snow in New York's Central Park on Saturday
