Teenager in 'serious condition' after inhaling cannabis oil through vaporizer
An 18-year-old woman is in a serious condition in hospital after taking a form of cannabis through an vaporizer, police said.
The woman was admitted into the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital early on Friday evening in a serious condition.
Gloucestershire Constabulary said that the teenager purchased a substance called Cannabidiol, an oil derived from the cannabis plant, online.
The substance can be inhaled or smoked through a vaporizer, similar to an e-cigarette.
It is feared the woman, who is known to have taken the product, may have had a severe reaction to it but police stressed they are unable to confirm a direct link between the product and her illness.
