Sir Michael Caine interested in Hatton Garden heist film
Sir Michael Caine has said he would star in a film about the Hatton Garden heist "in an instant".
A film about the raid is reportedly being worked on by scriptwriter Simon Cluett who has hinted that he would like to bring Sir Michael, Terence Stamp and Ray Winstone on board.
According to the Times (£), Sir Michael said he would be keen to get involved and he confirmed his interest in an interview on Magic Radio.
The Hatton Garden heist is believed to be the biggest burglary in English legal history.
Many observers have likened the raid to the plot of a movie as it was masterminded by a gang of career criminals aged between 76 and 60 along with an unknown assailant nicknamed 'Basil' who has still not been found by police.
The thieves stole an estimated £14m worth of money and jewels, most of which has never been recovered.
This month six men were convicted for their part in the theft and will be sentenced on March 7th.
