Tim Peake has answered one the most common question put to astronauts according to the European Space Agency: how do you go to the loo in space?

Talking viewers through it in a video post, the first British astronaut to do a spacewalk explains how to boldly go where very few people have gone before.

"It really is quite simple" he says.

"Here's the tube you pee in. Take the cap off, turn on the fan, the airflow keeps everything going down the pipe."

"Also for number two, the airflow does the same thing. Simple as that," he adds.
