CCTV shows ram-raiders using wheelbarrow to take away stolen goods
Thieves have been caught on camera ram-raiding a supermarket with a stolen van, and then using a wheelbarrow they brought to the scene to take away stolen goods.
CCTV footage released by the police shows the moment a stolen Ford Transit Tipper was used to batter through shutters at the Heritage Supermarket in Arden Road, Frankley, near Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said the suspects stole a "large amount" of cash and cigarettes in the raid at 11.15pm on November 1st 2015.
Police said the suspects also 'attempted but failed to pull a free standing cash machine out of the store'.
A second raid - using a different stolen Ford Transit Tipper - was carried out at Martin's Newsagents in the same street in the early hours of December 9th.
Two men have been interviewed voluntarily and continue to help police with their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
