ITV News viewers have been telling us their stories of issues with the pill after an inquest heard a 21-year-old collapsed and died from a blood clot after side-effects of the contraception were not effectively treated.
Fallan Kurek , from Staffordshire, suffered a pulmonary embolism after the hospital sent her home with painkillers when she attended and complained of chest pains and breathlessness.
After reading Fallan's story, many of you have visited the ITV News Facebook page to tell us about your experiences with the contraceptive pill.

I've also suffered a blood clot in my lung caused by the pill. The problem is they are very hard to diagnose. I was told I had pleurisy by two separate hospitals before coughing up blood four days later. So unless you've been in that position and see for yourself you can't really condemn our amazing NHS staff.
Same happened with me. Luckily my sister found me as they think I had only 20 minutes to live. I had seven massive clots in one lung and more in the other and between the heart and lungs. I was only 22 at the time and you think it won't happen to you.
After four GPs misdiagnosing me the fifth got me to hospital where a large clot was discovered that kept me in hospital for nearly three weeks.
My lovely wife died 25 years ago from this. I can't believe that doctors of today are still missing the symptoms. For god sake GPs wake up and listen to your patients. I feel so sorry for the family and my heart goes out to them. Why has this had to happen again.
I was sent home from hospital with antibiotics with suspected pneumonia! It was only when I went back 3 days later in absolute agony that I was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism on both lungs. Very scary! Just looking at the comments on this post its alarming how many of us this has happened to! There needs to be greater awareness of the dangers of the contraceptive pill before it is prescribed.
I got a blood clot from the pill, my leg was three times the size and I hobbled about on crutches for weeks until I was finally diagnosed correctly. I was lucky! This poor girl wasn't.
This could've been me. I was sent home after tests including a scan a few years ago, the doctors at A&E saying I had a 'muscular' injury in my leg. Turned out it was a massive DVT caused by the pill and an unknown to me blood condition. Thank god I went back a few days later, any longer I could have died if the clot broke away! My heart goes out to this poor girl's family. There should be so much more awareness of clots in young people. Doctors just aren't seeing the connection.
I also had issues with clots when I first took the Pill years ago. I was lucky - sadly she wasn't. My condolences to her family.
I suffered from a blood clot in my lung just over a year ago due to the contraceptive pill!! I was pushed away by my doctor for days until I started coughing up blood and took myself to A&E.
Poor girl. I had a blood clot in my leg which travelled to my lung and was seriously ill for a week, and on warfarin for six months. This too was due to the pill and happened thirty years ago. I can't believe this is still happening. I have never taken anything hormonal since, including hrt. I was told by the first doctor I saw that the pain in my leg was muscular. It wasn't until I couldn't breathe that I was rushed to hospital.
