Mexican police want to question Kate del Castillo about el-Chapo interview

Mexican police say they want to talk to actress Kate del Castillo, who set up Sean Penn's interview with drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.

Investigators have formally asked del Castillo to speak to them about her and Penn's encounter with Guzman, an official told AP.

The official said del Castillo is considered a witness and is not accused of any crime.

Guzman is the Sinaloa drug cartel chief who was [captured]( http://www.itv.com/news/2016-01-08/el-chapo-fugitive-drug-lord-has-been-re-captured/) earlier this month in Los Mochis, Sinaloa state, six months after escaping from a maximum-security prison.

The drug kingpin drove out of prison in July on a motorbike from a specially-constructed tunnel leading into his cell.

Penn's article about Guzman was published by Rolling Stone a day after his capture.
