Powerball: Winners share record $1.5bn draw
At least three tickets have won the record-breaking $1.5 billion (£1 billion) Powerball lottery in the United States.
One winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Chino Hills in California, a lottery spokesman confirmed, although the identity of the winner is yet to be revealed.
Jackpot winning tickets have also been reported in Florida and Tennessee, but further details aren't yet known.
Hundreds of hopefuls were seen queuing in the streets across the country in the build-up to the draw, which is played in 44 states, Washington and two US territories.
The jackpot is by far the largest up for grabs in North America, though Spain's latest elGordo lottery, or "The Fat One," had a prize pool of $2.4 billion (£1.6 billion).
However, this was awarded to thousands of ticketholders. Powerball's jackpot could go to a single winner.
