Oscars 2016: The Revenant dominates nominations
The nominations for the 88th Academy Awards have been revealed - so here is a look at some of the films and actors to have received an Oscars nod.
Best Actor
British actor Eddie Redmayne has been nominated for his second consecutive best actor Oscar for The Danish Girl.
He will compete with:

Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs
Matt Damon for The Martian
Bryan Cranston for Trumbo
Speaking from the red carpet at the UK premiere of his latest film, Leonardo DiCaprio told ITV News he was "amazed" at the film's 12 nominations - though said he had "no idea" whether or not he would take home the prize this year.
Best Film
The Revenant is arguably the favourite for the Best Film award after receiving 12 Oscar nominations in total.

The Danish Girl
Directed by Tom Hooper, the film is based on a novel of the same name and is loosely inspired on the lives of Danish painters Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener.
The Revenant
The film tells the story of explorer Hugh Glass who survives a horrific bear attack after being left for dead.
Steve Jobs
Directed by Danny Boyle, who won best director in 2009 for Slumdog Millionaire, this biopic focuses on the life of the late co-founder of Apple.

The Martian
