It's the 50th anniversary of the 1966 World Cup Draw at the Kensington Royal Garden Hotel in central London this week.
Today, at the same hotel, and in the same room, four of that victorious England world cup squad were back reminiscing. They were Sir Geoff Hurst, who scored a memorable hat trick in the final, Martin Peters, George Cohen, and goalkeeper Gordon Banks.
The hotel was also the venue for their celebratory dinner the night they won the World Cup. Sir Geoff Hurst told ITV news that no wives or girlfriends were allowed into the dinner.
"It's something my wife is constantly reminding me about", he said. And Gordon Banks said "I found it absolutely shocking" the women had to wait in an ante room whilst their husbands tucked into their meal.
Today's event also brought back memories of their famous balcony appearance with the cup, above thousands of fans who'd come to celebrate with the team.
"I couldn't believe how many people had come to see us", said Banks.
Both men say they're hopeful England can win another major tournament soon. "We have good young players coming through now", said Hurst.
Banks however feels the Premier League should introduce a rule that states every team should have at least two English players in their side.
But Greg Dyke, the chairman of the FA, who also attended today's launch said that was not possible. The Premier League had already introduced the "home grown players rule", although he admitted that didn't always mean the home grown players were all English.
I'm not one for selfies, but I did grab the opportunity to have a picture taken with the original Jules Rimet Trophy England won. I had to wear white gloves to handle it though, as I was told off for trying to hold it in my bare hands. It's that valuable.
