MPs to debate banning Donald Trump from the UK

MPs will debate whether to ban Donald Trump from the UK after more than half a million people signed a petition.

The petition was launched after the US presidential candidate called for all Muslims to be banned from entering the US.

The issue will be debated on January 18 at Westminster Hall.

Westminster Hall debates give MPs an opportunity to raise issues, but votes do not take place.
