Glee actor Mark Salling arrested on suspicion of possessing child porn

Glee actor Mark Salling has been arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography, police have said.

The 33-year-old star, known for playing high school footballer Noah "Puck" Puckerman in the hit show, was detained on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

He was taken into custody in the Sunland neighborhood north of LA, authorities said.

His bail was set at $20,000 (£13,000), according to a booking sheet, NBC reported.

Salling was nominated for Teen Choice awards in 2010 and 2011 but failed to win.
