Baby P's mother faces at least two more years in jail as Parole Board rules she is 'still a danger to public'
The mother of Baby P should not be freed from prison as she is still a danger to the public, Parole Board chiefs have ruled.
Tracey Connelly must now spend at least two more years behind bars for her part in the death of her 17-month-old son Peter.
Peter - known as Baby P - died in 2007 at the hands of Connelly, her lover Steven Barker and their lodger Jason Owen after a prolongued campaign of abuse.
He suffered more than 50 injuries despite dozens of visits from social workers, police and health professionals during his short life, and being placed on the at-risk register.
She was handed an indefinite prison sentence with a minimum of five years in May 2009, but was let out on licence in 2013.After breaching her parole conditions earlier this year, she was returned to jail in Cheshire - and a Parole Board panel has decided against releasing her again.A spokesman said she would be eligible for another parole review in two years.
