Samy Amimour, one of the Paris attackers who stormed the Bataclan theatre killing 90 people, has been buried in an unmarked grave in a northern suburb of France according to local media.

Amimour is believed to be the first of the Paris attackers to be buried.

He was reportedly buried in the Muslim section of La Courneuve inter-communal cemetery in Seine-Saint-Denis on Christmas Eve and only a few people attended.

French citizens can be buried in the place where they lived or died or in a family plot.

Amimour, who was born in Drancy, a north-eastern suburb of Paris, was one of three attackers at the Bataclan theatre. He wore a suicide vest and blew himself up as French police closed in.

The bodies of the seven other attackers, three of which are yet to be identified, are still reportedly being held at the Forensic Institute of Paris.
