Royals attend Christmas Day church service at Sandringham

The Queen and the Royal Family have attended their traditional Christmas Day church service in Sandringham.

Led by the Queen who arrived in a Bentley wearing a festive red dress coat, the family made their way from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene Church for the service which is held every year on the Sandringham estate.

But there was no sign of Prince George and Princess Charlotte as their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, arrived without them.

About 1,000 well-wishers gathered in the cold and wet to join in the festivities.
