Nanny Pat: The Only Way Is Essex star dies aged 80
The Only Way is Essex star Pat Brooker - better known as Nanny Pat - has died aged 80 after a short illness.
Mother to Carol Wright and grandmother to Mark and Jessica, she was well known for her cooking and her advice to those on the ITVBe programme.
In total she had five children, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In a statement, the Wright family confirmed the news, saying: "Sadly our amazing, courageous and beautiful Nanny Pat passed away this morning after a short illness.
"We are overwhelmed by sadness, and the whole family ask for privacy at this horrible time."
Nanny Pat had only last month celebrated her 80th birthday on the show, with the show's stars all turning out for a royal-themed celebration.
