An 81-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating a spate of puncturing attacks on cars parked in a seaside town near Hastings, East Sussex.

Almost 20 cars parked at the Ravenside shopping centre in Bexhill-on-Sea and a nearby street have had their tyres punctured over the recent weeks, causing hundreds of pounds of damage, said local police.

"The damage done has been very disruptive for car owners,” said PC Lindon Lloyd, of the Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing Team.
