The father of 'Fast & Furious' star Paul Walker is suing Porsche over his son's death.

Paul Walker died aged 40 when his Porsche Carrera GT crashed and burst into flames in Los Angeles in November 2013.

He was part way through filming Fast & Furious 7.

Investigators said high speeds rather than mechanical failure caused the crash.

But his family now alleges that the vehicle "lacked safety features that are found on well-designed racing cars" - features they say "could have prevented the accident or allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash".

Paul William Walker III, the actor's father, claims that Porsche failed to install an electronic stability control system to protect against swerving actions in hypersensitive vehicles and had a defective seat belt design.

Paul William Walker III, the actor's father is seeking unspecified damages from the company.

Walker's daughter, Meadow, 17, has also filed a lawsuit against the carmaker after she blamed the car design for the accident.

Porsche insists the vehicle Walker was driving had been "altered", "misused" and "improperly maintained".
