Adele's complete domination of the music charts has hit a new peak as her new album became the fastest selling record in British history.

Her third album 25 - which features the number one single Hello - has sold 800,307 copies in the first week of its release - beating Oasis's 18-year record of 696,000.

Industry experts said 25's sales success was "staggering".
