Bindi Irwin pays tribute to her father Steve on Dancing with the Stars

Bindi Irwin has paid an emotional tribute to her father Steve Irwin during the grand final on the US series of Dancing with the Stars.

Her late father, the Australian Crocodile Hunter, was killed by a stingray in 2006.

At the end of the performance, a giant image of Steve Irwin was projected on the wall.

The 17 year old cried and and thanked her dance partner Derek Hough.

Bindi and Terri both tweeted dedications to Steve at the end of the night.

Bindi has made the top three for the finale, which will see her competing against Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter and US army hero Alek Skarlatos.
