Oscar Pistorius smiles for the camera at his 29th birthday party
Oscar Pistorius has been pictured smiling for the camera at his 29th birthday party.
The photo of the disgraced paralympian was taken on Sunday at his uncle's house, where he is serving the remainder of his jail term for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day in 2013.
His aunt Lois shared the picture of Pistorius - surrounded by seven young relatives - on Twitter under the caption: "Oscar Pistorius birthday party today."
The South African athlete is now the same age as his girlfriend when he fatally shot her at his house in Pretoria.
He maintains that he mistook her Steenkamp for an intruder.
Pictures of Pistorius's birthday celebrations emerged as South Africa's Court of Appeal continues to consider whether to uphold his manslaughter conviction or convict him for murder.
