Spencer Matthews quits I'm A Celebrity after two days

Reality star Spencer Matthews has quit I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! after just two days.

Speaking at the start of tonight's show, hosts Ant and Dec said: "Spencer Matthews has unexpectedly left the jungle and he won't be returning to this year's camp.

"Unfortunately there's nothing more we can say on that."

The show has not disclosed details of his departure but reports have put it down to "medical reasons."

The Made In Chelsea star joined the show as a late contestant alongside Ferne McCann and Vicky Pattison.

He took part in his first Bucktucker trial on Thursday night's show in which he met with various bugs in a perspex box.

He had been due to take part in another tonight.

Before entering the jungle Spencer stressed he wouldn't say the immortal words "I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!" even if his "life depended on it".

"I could break both my legs and both my arms, and I will never shout that ... ever. So don't worry about that."

A show spokesperson confirmed he had left the jungle today, saying "We're sorry to see him leave."
