Sir Clive Woodward: Jonah Lomu was an icon throughout the whole of sport

Former England head coach Sir Clive Woodward says it was a privilege to coach against the iconic Jonah Lomu.

Despite being on the end of the some of Lomu most destruction play, Woodward says it was always a great test when his teams came up against the winger.

"Players at the World Cup in 1995 would tell you that he stood out. He was an amazing athlete - he was so big and so quick," Woodward explained.

"People wanted to go and see him play. He's one of the world's best ever players and an icon in not only rugby but all of sport."

Woodward went on to tell a anecdote which showed the high regard Lomu was held during his career.
