Eagles of Death Metal fans launch campaign for No.1 in tribute to Paris attack victims
Fans of California rockers Eagles of Death Metal have launched a campaign to get the band to Number One in tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks.
The band was playing at the Bataclan theatre when gunmen stormed the building, killing dozens of revellers before detonating bomb belts.
The group - which consists of Jesse Hughes and varying line-ups including Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, Dave Catching, Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedl - is believed to have escaped the attack unscathed, though they have not released an official statement.
More than 7,700 people have 'liked' a Facebook page calling for the group's cover of Duran Duran's Save A Prayer.
A statement on the page says it is not sure about where royalties from sales would go, but that that is "not the point".
