Flooding causes disruption across parts of Yorkshire
Flooding hit parts of Yorkshire on Sunday, turning many roads into rivers and leaving homes at risk.
The River Wharfe burst its banks in Ilkley and Otley, with a number of bridges closed.
Sandbags were brought in to try to protect homes and local pubs offered refuge to anyone affected by flooding.
The A65 in the Settle area of North Yorkshire was also badly affected by floods and North Yorkshire Police said they were attending reports of a fallen tree blocking a road in the Ingleton area.
The Environment Agency said there were 76 flood warnings in place across England and Wales by Sunday afternoon, mainly in the northeast, along with 90 flood alerts. Severe flood warnings in Cumbria were lifted.
A spokesman for the agency said the risk remained highest for Cumbria, parts of Lancashire and western parts of North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
Neil Davies, Environment Agency flood risk duty manager, said: “Communities in northern England should remain vigilant to the risk of flooding. Further heavy, persistent rain is expected throughout Sunday and into Monday and river levels remain extremely high and are continuing to rise in places."
More than 180mm of rain fell overnight in some places.
In Otley, many roads were flooded and local MP Greg Mulholland said more sandbags were on their way.
