Gales and strong gusts as storms sweeps in
The strongest storm of the Autumn so far will sweep in tonight. As winds whip up there'll be gales across the north and west with Scotland bearing the brunt. Here damaging gusts will reach 70-90mph.
As rain drifts through tonight, temperatures will dip and it'll feel much chillier than recent nights with a chance of frost across parts of Scotland and sleet and snow over the higher ground bringing blizzard like conditions with the strong gusty winds.
Heavy rain and strong winds will bring short-lived horrible conditions through parts of England and Wales through rush hour.
For the rest of the day it'll be notably windy with blustery downpours - and it'll feel much chillier than of late as temperatures slide to nearer where they should be this time of year. There'll also be a notable wind chill - a bit of a shock to the system after the crazy mild weather of late.
