Takeaway app JUST EAT is warning users to look out for "sophisticated" e-mail scams, including one that tries to trick users into confirming their personal details.

The company has sent out an e-mail to users of the app, telling them that JUST EAT will never ask for account details or personal information via e-mail.

The example it gives offers customers £10 in exchange for doing a survey on the services the company provides.

It then asks them to confirm their name, phone number and address before completing the survey.

JUST EAT currently operates in 13 countries and provides takeaway services from more than 30,000 restaurants. JUST EAT UK was launched in 2006.

The firm offered re-assurances to users in a blog post on its website, saying the company has not been hacked.
