Men rescued after getting stuck on cliff ledge 50 metres above ocean
Two men have been rescued after getting stuck on a cliff ledge above a 50-metre drop into the sea.
One of the men fell and landed on the ledge, injuring himself in the process.
When his friend tried to help, he too became trapped on the cliff face at Wedding Cake Rock in Australia.
Rescue teams were called to the Royal National Park, south of Sydney, on Sunday to help the two men, believed to be in their 20s.
A helicopter winched rescuers down to the hazardous scene, with other emergency crews slowly making their way to the site via land.
One member of the team abseiled down to the stranded pair before they were safely removed from the ledge.
The injured man was carried out through the rugged terrain on a stretcher after suffering a suspected spinal injury.
