One Direction meet Alton Towers crash victim Leah Washington

One Direction have met Alton Towers crash victim Leah Washington, whose leg was amputated following the terrifying Smiler ride crash.

The teenager shared a series of photos of her and a group of friends backstage at the group's concert last week.

In one picture, Leah is pictured alone with teenage heart-throb Harry Styles.

In another her and friends are seen alongside all four members of One Direction.

Leah tweeted: "These past three nights have just been amazing! Getting to meet One Direction has just been an unreal experience."

The meeting comes after a #Get1DToLeah campaign was launched on Twitter.

Leah was one of four young people who were seriously injured when their carriage on the Smiler crashed into an empty vehicle at high-speed on June 2.
