Dozens trapped as factory collapses in Pakistan
At least 18 people have died and as many as 150 others have been trapped after a factory collapsed at an industrial site in Pakistan, officials have said.
Senior local government official Muhammad Usman told Reuters 10 bodies had been recovered from the site, 20km south of Lahore, on Wednesday afternoon.
A rescuer on the scene said workers were still digging for survivors and had recovered 40 people so far and a military spokesman said urban search-and-rescue teams had been deployed to help.
The cause of the building collapse is not yet clear but reports suggest construction work had been going on at the factory.
