Another Halloween heatwave....
For the second year in a row, it is a mild Halloween day. Whilst we are unlikely to break the record from last year (when temperatures reached 23.6C), parts of the UK could see temperatures today rise to 19-20C. Areas most likely are West Wales, parts of Devon and West Sussex.
The weather this evening will be dry for most, perfect conditions for trick or treaters, even some ghostly mist patches to add to the spooky atmosphere.
Fog will develop overnight, becoming widespread and dense particularly across eastern parts of England.Visibility will be reduced as a result. We could therefore see some travel disruption, both on the roads and even likely at airports. With families returning from half term breaks, some delays at certain airports are possible. The fog will be slow to clear tomorrow, slowly lifting and thinning throughout the day.The Met Office have issued a weather warning valid from 10pm tonight through to 11am tomorrow morning.
Over the coming few days we keep a mild theme and with such an exceptionally mild start to November, we could even break some temperature records.
Mist and fog will continue to form by night. It will however be a dry start to November, at least until Wednesday when there is a risk of rain or showers from the south.
