June Sarpong pays tribute to 'amazing' brother Sam after deadly fall from bridge

TV presenter June Sarpong has paid tribute to her "amazing" brother Sam, who has died after apparently jumping off a bridge in America.

The actor and model's death is being investigated as a possible suicide after police said officers spent seven hours trying to talk the 40-year-old down before he fell.

In a statement, Sarpong said her brother's "passing is a loss for the world" and urged anyone going through "tough times" to seek help.

Sam Sarpong was born in London but moved to America to further his career.

He went on to model for designer brands such Tommy Hilfiger and appeared in the television series Bones, as well as co-hosting MTV show Yo Momma.

Earlier this year, he posted a picture of himself with his sister, which he captioned: "with my #Supastar sis June".

Los Angeles County coroner's office said the official cause of Mr Sarpong's death will not be known until toxicology results are released.
