As it emerged that TalkTalk customers could be affected by the 'significant and sustained' cyber attack, ITV News speaks to internet experts about the hack.

There is a 'chance' that customers' credit card and bank details have been accessed, the company says.

Talk Talk Chief Executive Dido Harding urged customers to check the validity of phone calls where they're asked to reveal personal details.

"If you get a phone call from anyone purporting to be from Talk Talk or any other company you're not expecting and they ask you to reveal personal information please be very careful to check the validity of that call, she said.

"Talk Talk will never call out of the blue and ask you to reveal any of your personal information."
