Advance tickets go on sale for Star Wars film
Star Wars fans are being treated to a new trailer and advance ticket sales, two months before the film hits cinemas.
Vue, Cineworld and Odeon teased fans with promises of tickets, which went on sale from 8am on Monday UK time.
However some Twitter users are complaining that cinema websites are crashing due to a high demand for tickets. Others say tickets are only available for a limited about of venues.
A new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut during half-time at the New York Giants v Philadelphia Eagles American football game in Philadelphia on Monday evening, Lucasfilm announced.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company.
The second teaser trailer, which debuted in April, has more than 64 million views on YouTube to date.
Star Wars confirmed in a blog post on Sunday that tickets "for the highly anticipated film will also go on sale tomorrow for showings in theatres across the globe".
The Star Wars website also revealed the official poster for the movie which shows "an awakening of the dark side ... and the light".
