Family of seven-year-old Sainsbury's bus crash victim pay tribute to 'adorable' son

The family of a seven-year-old who was killed when a double-decker bus crashed into the front of a Sainsbury's supermarket have paid tribute to their "adorable and caring" son.

Rowan Fitzgerald, from Leamington, was travelling on the bus with his grandparents and cousin when the double decker collided with a supermarket on Trinity Street, Coventry earlier this month.

He was one of two people who lost their lives in the crash.

Describing him as a football loving youngster who gave "so much love to anyone he met" and "lit up any room" with his cheeky smile Rowan's family said they were still trying to come to terms with what had happened.

Issuing a statement through West Midlands Police today Rowan's parents said:

Police have reissued an appeal for witnesses to come forward and asked anyone with information to ring 101 quoting log 1017 4/10/15.
