Sir Bruce Forsyth rushed to hospital after fall at home
Sir Bruce Forsyth had to be rushed to hospital after a fall at his home.
The 87-year-old entertainer suffered a minor concussion and cuts to his face in the incident on Thursday morning.
He has been advised by doctors to have complete rest for at least a week - forcing him to withdraw from presenting his variety show Bruce's Hall Of Fame.
He underwent a series of scans and tests which "happily proved negative", the show's production company confirmed in a statement.
Sir Bruce said he was "really sad" to have to pull out.
Charlotte Moore, controller at BBC One, said: "Everyone at the BBC wishes Bruce a very speedy recovery."
