Hunter fends off attack by huge grizzly bear by shoving his arm down its throat
A hunter survived an attack by a huge, grizzly bear by shoving his arm down the animal's throat.
Chase Dellwo, 26, was hunting with his brother in the US state of Montana on Saturday when he came face-to-face with the huge 400-pound bear.
The bear knocked Mr Dellwo to the ground, bit his head and legs before tossing him in the air during the brutal assault.
As the bear came at him again, Mr Dellwo recalled an article he read in a magazine years before.
Reading that article may have saved Mr Dellwo's life as the bear quickly retreated.
He escaped with wounds to his head, eye and leg.
"I want everyone to know that it wasn't the bear's fault, he was as scared as I was," Mr Dellwo told the Great Falls Tribune from his hospital bed.
