Tributes pour in for novelist Jackie Collins

Tributes have been paid to bestselling novelist Jackie Collins,following her death aged 77, after a battle with breast cancer,

Her sister, the actress Joan Collins, said she is "completely devastated" by the loss of her "best friend".

She also shared a picture of the two of them as children on Twitter.

Sharon Osbourne also posted a picture of herself Collins and said she was "shocked and devastated."

Sky News and This Morning presenter Eammon Holmes also expressed his sadness describing her as "always very pleasant and accessible."

BBC presenter Graham Norton, who interviewed both Jackie and her sister Joan on his show said she was "the definition of a class act."

Collins appeared on ITV's Loose Women on September 10and said she had a "wonderful time with the ladies",

The team said news of her passing was "very sad".

Other celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, former Bond star Sir Roger Moore and TV host Piers Morgan also expressed their condolences.
