Victoria Beckham's 'dagger to the heart' after Harper tells her she wants to play football
Victoria Beckham has revealed her daughter wants to play football like her famous father - rather than follow her in her fashion footsteps.
The former Spice Girl-turned-designer said it was "like a dagger through the heart" when four-year-old Harper told her: "Mummy, I think I want to play football."
Speaking to Good Morning America, Victoria said having three brothers had turned Harper into a "little tomboy".
"She said to me the other day 'mummy, I think I want to play football.' Dagger through the heart.
"I have three boys that want to play football. I mean, come on, let one of them want to be into fashion."
Victoria was speaking at the unveiling of her latest fashion collection at New York Fashion Week.
And despite many giving her credit for her husband David's image overhaul in the early noughties, Victoria said she never tells him what to wear.
"He has really great style and great taste," she said.
