Lord Coe defends Paula Radcliffe and tells ITV News no athlete should be forced to release blood data
Lord Coe, the new President of the world athletics governing body, the IAAF, has told ITV News he sympathises with Paula Radcliffe after the runner was implicated in doping allegations.
Speaking about the issue for the first time to ITV News Sport Editor Steve Scott, he said: "I feel very, very sorry for Paula because I think she was put in a position she shouldn't have been put in and I don't think she's been particularly well treated over this."
He added that no athlete should be made to release details of blood data.
