As the nation prepares to mark the occasion Queen Elizabeth II becomes the UK's longest reigning monarch, ITV News takes a look at some of the numbers behind her tenure.
When the Queen came to the throne in 1952, the average house price in decimalised money was £1,888, a pint of beer cost 9p and a pint of milk 3p.
Sixty three years later in 2015, the average house price is £277,000, a pint of draught bitter sells for £2.97 and a pint of milk sets you back 43p.
