A look back at the best Bond themes
Sam Smith's Writing's On The Wall is to be the next James Bond theme song in Spectre.
The original Bond soundtrack, which has become synonymous throughout the 53 years of 007, was by The John Barry Orchestra:
It was the theme for the first film, Dr No, back in 1962 and got up to number 13 in the UK's single music charts.
One of the most iconic theme's was in Goldfinger.
Shirley Bassey recorded the first of her two Bond soundtracks in the film in 1964.
She later went on to sing Diamonds Are Forever in 1971 and Moonraker in the 12th film eight years later.
Bassey sang Goldfinger at the 2012 Academy Awards, as part of the 50 year anniversary of the film series:
